Return Policy

You may return most new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by SMARTOFFICEDIST within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Items should be returned in their original product packaging in their original new condition. Just fill out our online return form, and we will guide you through the process.

Non-Refundable Items

  • Any product that has obvious signs of use.
  • Any item that is not in its original condition or original packaging.
  • Any item that is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Please make sure to insure the return shipment for the full amount you paid for it.
  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Any product missing the serial number or UPC
  • Items purchased from sellers other than smart office distributor

Receiving a Refund

We'll request a refund after we receive and process your return. For items directed to our Warehouse, expect your refund within 2 weeks of returning your package (though in many cases you'll receive the refund sooner). If the item is returned directly to the manufacturer's factory or warehouse, we will issue the refund within one week of receiving the refund from the manufacturer.

We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Product-Specific Return Policies

Some items (such as shredders and ID card printers) may have special returns policies. Please call our customer support team for more information.

Exchanges

If you received a faulty item and need to exchange it for the same item, fill out our online Return Form to request a replacement. If you would like to exchange an item for a different one, please return the original item (you will be refunded once we receive the item) and place another order for the item you wish to purchase. You do not have to wait for us to receive the original item before placing the new order.

Large Items Shipped By Freight Carriers

We are happy to accept returns for large items that are shipped via our freight carriers. These items do require a special type of return and cannot be returned like standard shipments. If you need to return an item shipped via a specialty shipper, please fill out our online Return Form and request the return. We will follow up with instructions for returning the item.
